With Code Academy camps, our coding courses in Singapore, our mission is to make coding for kids simple, fun, and challenging. So your little gamer will not only design his or her very own computer games that anyone can play, but can even challenge their friends using an online learning platform! 

The camps will start with an introduction to different coding languages for kids, before delving deeper into HTML, CSS and JavaScript, the technology that powers over 90% of online applications. 

By the end of the camp, each child will know how to design, code and publish and share their very own, fully functioning online game! 

Our Code Academy camps:


We cover 3 types of coding topics, and have camps of different levels in each, to match the personalities, needs, and experiences of all children. Our coding topics are: 

1. MINECRAFT: It is a game about placing blocks and creating objects to build a completely new 3D, virtual world. This game really pushes the imaginative powers and creativity skills. 

2. ROBLOX: It is a global game creation platform where users can create and share experiences with each other using the Roblox studio platform. It is usually a multiplayer game and encourages social interaction. It can also include some programming. 

3 SCRATCH: Scratch is a visual programming used to create interactive media such as stories and games. This can be shared with other users in the online community of the game.  

4 Wonder App: It is a World Class Award- Winning programme where users work with Dash and Dot robots that allow them to explore the world of robotics in a creative and interactive way.

Game Design with Minecraft


Stop just playing the game. start modelling it! 

Create your own game: Design, build and explore 3D game adventures using Minecraft. 

Develop your own game levels, and transform the Minecraft universe into a dynamic game environment. 

Camp activities: 
• Pixel Art- create digital characters and structures at the pixel level 
• Blueprint Design - understand the importance of blueprint in architecture and how it works 
• Game Architecture - build a new world and structure in Minecraft 

This camp is best suited for children who: 
• Love to play and design online games, but are not sure how to get started 
• Have heard and played Minecraft games, but have only played it as consumers, not creators 
• Interested in pixel art and architecture design

Minecraft Smart City With Redstone - Level 2


Redstone in Minecraft is about adding electricity to Minecraft worlds and objects.

In this camp, discover the wonders of Redstone in Minecraft Creative while building innovative products, e.g. password-coded doors, to bring Smart Cities to life.

Camp activities: 
• Learn about electricity and circuitry in Minecraft and build different automated inventions with Redstone
• Learn the concept of Smart City and what the term entails
• Build your own Smart City in Minecraft, incorporating design, automation and urban planning.

This camp is best suited for children who: 
• Have already attended some entry-level Minecraft camp, like Game Design with Minecraft
• Are familiar with Minecraft game design, but feel limited by the current knowledge and want to learn more
• Love the idea of automation and building cities

Roblox for Game Design

Create different immersive 3D game experiences on the ROBLOX gaming platform, such as interactive adventures, races, and competitions. 

Camp activities: 
• Learn about game creation through the construction of obstacles (Obby) and terrains within Roblox 
• Understand the process of debugging, beta testing and feedback 
• Get exposure to the Lua programming language and scripting used in Roblox 

This camp is best suited for children who: 
• Love to interact with other children through video games and contests 
• Have heard of and played Roblox, but have only played it as users not creators 
• Are creative and keen to learn about 3D game development in one of the world's most popular children's game platforms

Scratch Programming


Explore Scratch programming using an interactive, child-friendly software that utilises a drag-and-drop based designing feature. 

Learn various basic programming concepts such as conditional statements, to apply into Scratch by creating animations and games. 

Camp activities: 
•   Build commands for creating the games
• Understand the fundamental concepts of computer science: variables, conditional statement, loops, Boolean, functions and logical operators
• Learn how to enhance decomposition, abstraction and algorithmic thinking in game devlopment.

This camp is best suited for children who: 
• Are new to programming and would love to understand more the fundamental concepts of coding
• Love to create games and animations with 2D characters
• Keen to learn more technical coding and programming.
