Code Academy for 9 to 12
Are you looking for coding classes in Singapore for your adolescent, that will explain the different coding languages for kids, the difference between coding and programming, and help them become superb game designers?
Our Code Academy is the only coding school in Singapore where children can not only learn coding through the most unique assortment of camps and personalised support of our teachers and staff, but also boost their creativity and problem-solving skills.
By the end of the camp, each child will know how to design, code and publish and share their very own, fully functioning online game!
Our Code Academy camps:
We cover 2 types of coding topics, and have camps of different levels in each, based on your child’s personality, needs, and experiences. Our coding topics are:
1. MINECRAFT: It is a game about placing blocks and creating objects to build a completely new 3D, virtual world. This game really pushes the imaginative powers and creativity skills.
2. ROBLOX: It is a global game creation platform where users can create and share experiences with each other using the Roblox studio platform. It is usually a multiplayer game and encourages social interaction. It can also include some programming.
3. CODEMONKEY ADVENTURES: It is an award winning, game- based learning platform that teachers students real, type-based computer programming.

CodeMonkey Adventures - New!
CodeMonkey is an award-winning, game-based learning platform that teaches children text-based computer programming through a fun and engaging online game.
In our camp, the whole game will be based on a child-friendly story of helping a monkey collect all his bananas. The children will have to create algorithms to help the monkey in various steps to get to the bananas.
The stages are progressive, filled with fun challenges and beautiful animations that will not only engage the children, but will also sharpen their mind and skills.
As it’s not just about visual programming, CodeMonkey provides a first glimpse into the ‘real-world’ coding and programming mode.
Camp activities:
• Learn fundamental programming concepts such as loops, functions, and conditional statements
• Type codes in CoffeeScript that can be later integrated with JavaScript
• Practice the key techniques of computational thinking: decomposition, abstraction, and algorithms
This camp is best suited for children who:
• Are new to programming and computer science concepts, but would like to learn more about it
• Love the idea of completing challenges/ stages in a game
• Would be keen to learn text-based programming, and not just focus on simple visual drag-and-drop options
• Could be interested in software engineering as a career, and would like to form an idea about text-based programming
