Code Academy

At Code Academy, your passive gamer will develop the skills they need to design their very own computer games, gamify the results and challenge their friends using an online learning platform, called Launchbox.

Learning to code through games helps kids grasp fundamental programming concepts. Young students will be introduced to coding language using Scratch before progressing to HTML, CSS and JavaScript, the technology that powers over 90% of online applications.

Students enhance their critical and logical reasoning and in the process, they become more effective problem-solvers.

By the end of the week our techies will know how to design, code and publish and share their very own, fully functioning online game!

There is no previous knowledge needed for this programme, just imagination, creativity and the desire to take your first steps into creating with the technology in the world around you.

All skill levels are welcome.

Food

Lunch, morning and afternoon snacks are included in the cost of your camp. What's more the food is cooked fresh and delivered daily by Michelin Star Celebrity Chef Emmanuel Stroobant.

Check out our sample healthy food menu HERE.

If your kid is a vegetarian or doesn’t/can’t eat beef, pork, seafood, dairy or eggs, that’s cool. Just tell us beforehand in your child’s details online when you book. If your kid has a nut allergy, don’t worry, Discovery Camps has a no nut policy.
